OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW...

Hi it’s Matthew again, on placement with OS12.
Every business has to adapt to change in order to continue to evolve. Does this mean leaving old marketing ways behind to be replaced by the newer techniques?
In my opinion as a business marketing student who is learning about different marketing techniques the newer ways seem much easier and effective. Many firms now devote a lot of time and effort to social media.
There are many questions however. Do ‘old’ marketing techniques still have a place in today’s world? Is the link between old and new simply the industry evolving? For example,an email newsletter is a step up from a printed newsletter. Is getting the right mix of old and new for a business most important?
