WHAT DOES THE NEW YEAR HAVE IN STORE?

Hi, I’m Simon a second year media and marketing student on placement here at Outsource12. These are some of my thoughts about how businesses can use the New Year to reflect and improve.

Now is a good time to step back and reflect on improvements your business could make before you get back into your post holiday season routines. The New Year is a perfect time for businesses to take stock of what has been accomplished with their marketing over the last year and look at possible improvements that can be made in the the New Year. This is a good time to set new achievable goals for your marketing plans and watch the business grow.

Here are some suggestions to get the ball rolling:

Focus on new marketing ideas – now is the perfect time to begin those marketing initiatives that have previously been placed on the back burner. New marketing activities can attract new customers and remember the more effective the marketing activity, the more customers the business will attract.

Make customer service a priority – it is now more important to concentrate on customer service, in the current landscape. Customer retention is now more important than ever because attentions can be pulled in multiple new directions with increasing competition. It is important customers feel valued and cherished because businesses cannot afford to lose customers.

Become more nimble and flexible – now is the time to make your marketing more agile, try new things, move outside your comfort zone.
