1. More women use than smartphones than men (60%).
2. Last year we used on average 270MB of mobile data per month! Next year it’s predicted to be 1.2GB.
3. 81% o the 25-34 age group have smartphones.
4. Most handsets sold are Android devices (53%) with Apple’s iOS phones capturing the second place (40%), and everyone else jostling together (7%).
5. Facebook is by far the most common mobile advertising platform.
6. Google is however the most profitable mobile ad platform with nearly 50% of all revenue delivered.
7. Most people (68%) still prefer relevant marketing messages delivered via MMS or text rather than email or display advertising.
8. More email are opened by mobile devices (48%) than desktop (38%) with tablet making (14%) – so it’s vital to make your marketing emails deliverable and optimised for all devices.
